For one simple reason: If your value system is NOT transcendent, then morality, and everything else, is simply a matter of opinion. What right then, do you have, to tell one human being that your opinion, is better than their own?
The Nuremberg trials, held after WW2, were for the purpose of bringing Nazi war criminals to justice. When testifying, one of the top Nazi leaders was questioned several times about why he had allowed, ordered, and even participated in multiple cold blooded murder of seemingly innocent Jewish people, many women and children. He repeated the same answer over and over, “because it was in our laws.” Finally one of the prosecutors asked, “Sir, is there not A LAW above your laws?” Just like you, no one in the courtroom needed an explanation.
How about the fauxmale who operates off of UNRESTRAINED FEELING?
Let me start by defining what I mean by UNRESTRAINED. I mean feelings that are not tied or tethered to anything transcendent. Having feelings is a great thing, but feelings not guiding by principles, a code, cause great damage.
When a man’s sexual escapades with a woman result in an accidental pregnancy, and he skips town never to be a part of the child’s life, his action is not tethered to a code that would instruct him to father the child he brought into the world.
His sense of responsibility is unrestrained.
